Our fund is known as the Rotary Forever Fund – a
name that goes to the heart of the purpose behind
it. This is our opportunity to leave a legacy to
Rotary – and our community - by supporting a
permanent fund that is housed at Hamilton Community
Foundation. Grants and donations to Rotary causes
will be made on an annual basis from the investment
income of the Rotary Forever Fund, at the discretion
of the Board of Directors.
You may wish to consider using the fund as a vehicle
for individual cash donations, and many of you have
and continue to do this in honour or memory of
someone special to you. We have also created a
special recognition opportunity for those who make a
planned gift (a bequest through their will or
insurance) to the Rotary Forever Fund; such donors
will be known as members of “The Broadfoot Circle.”
This name is in honour of our late club member, Rick
Broadfoot.
The opportunity we’d like to share with all club
members is to consider whether you would like to
become a member of The Broadfoot Circle this year.
It is a simple process involving the completion of a
brief form (attached) signifying that you intend to
make a bequest to the Rotary Club of Hamilton
through its Rotary Forever Fund.
It is not necessary to have actually made the change
to your will when you complete this form. Neither do
you need to say what the size of the bequest is. We
only need to know your intent.
