What happens at the Golf and Glamour Day?
In 2012, we hope that more than 150 professional women arrive early in the morning to the golf club.
Many of the women may be playing golf for the first time ever or the first time this year. Each person plays nine holes of golf. Then they come back to the club house by 11a.m. – for a spa treatment (massage; manicure; facial), some shopping in a number of boutiques and some networking. Then everyone gathers for lunch – more networking and some unique prizes. Last year – prizes included “most unique swing”; “most colourful language” and even best drive (based on skill manipulating a golf cart). It is a lot of fun – and the vast majority of women are getting one of their first ever glimpses at the world of Rotary. Proceeds go to support Rotary projects locally and worldwide.
